In preparation for the 2011 assessment of the Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) tariff, members of the Ports Regulator will be on a country-wide roadshow next week, according to Ports Regulator board member, Andrew Pike of Van Velden Pike & Partners.
The purpose of the roadshow, he told FTW Online, will be to:
*Explain the process of the Ports Regulator in conducting the tariff assessment;
*Receive comments on aspects of the tariff application;
*Hear general comments regarding port tariffs and practices
The invitation is extended to port users and interested parties to attend public hearings on the National Ports Authority (NPA) proposed tariff increases for 2011/12. Copies of the proposed tariff increases can be obtained from any office of the NPA or the NPA website: www.transnetnationalportsauthority.net or the Ports Regulator website www.portsregulator.org. All persons are also invited to submit written comments on the proposed tariff increases by November 10, 2010.
