Poll finds Brexit will happen, no matter what!

An opinion poll has found that Britain wants to leave the EU come hell or high water, even if it means a wave of uncertainty, customs chaos, and related trade instability is about to engulf the UK.

And possibly cresting that wave will be Boris Johnson, “Mr Do or Die”, leader of the Conservative Party and principal Brexiteer in charge of the UK Parliament.

Moreover, with a slim victory margin of 54% to 46%, the poll has sent a clear message that the original Brexit referendum of 2016, although also won by a slim margin, hasn’t changed much – and it is clear that Johnson will have the support of his country if he were to dissolve Parliament to lead the UK out of EU.

Such a move will however be drastic and will most likely only be instituted if MPs and other law makers try to stop Johnson from leaving the EU on October 31 without a deal.

The survey, which only included 1645 participants but which constituted a good sample size of British sentiment, found that Johnson would generally have the support of the UK if he wanted to leave the EU without a deal, even if it meant dissolving Parliament.

Since he took over from Theresa May, support for the “Tories” has also gone up, from 27% to 31%, whereas Labour Party support appears to be dwindling.
