Coordinated police raids in Belgium, France and Switzerland have seen 31 people arrested in connection with a USD$50 million Brussels Airport diamond robbery. (See “Several arrested after Brussels airport diamond heist” in yesterday’s issue). Airwise News reports that there were 24 suspects rounded up in the Brussels area on Wednesday with one further arrest in France and six in Switzerland. Belgian prosecutors say that the arrests had also seen the recovery of part of the haul of diamonds taken in the heist in February.
