The Unites States-owned Boeing Company could consider moving key parts of its operation to other countries if US Congress does not vote to revive the Export-Import Bank, whose operating charter expired last month.
That’s according to Boeing chairman, James McNerney, quoted by online trading publication, MarletWatch.
“We love making and designing airplanes in the United States, but we are now forced to think about doing it differently,” McNerney reportedly said in a talk at the Economic Club of Washington on Wednesday.
The Export-Import Bank charter expired on June 30, when Congress failed to renew it.However, the US Senate voted 64-29 on Monday to add an amendment to a bill that that will revive the bank.
