The Mozambican government has opened its second regional pharmaceutical warehouse, in the province of Nampula in north eastern Mozambique. It follows the opening of a similar warehouse in Maputo.
“The pharmaceutical warehouse was conceived within the framework of the Pharmaceutical Logistics Strategic Plan (PELF) as a way to improve medicine supply in the primary health network in the north of the country, and we expect it will guarantee the regular availability of drugs for the continuous care of all patients,” said Mozambican president Jacinto Nyusi at the opening of the Nampula facility.
The new warehouse brings together medical and surgical material, vaccines and other medicinal products, and can store 6 200 pallets seven levels high.
