Mozambique’s oil and gas boom along the north coast is fuelling investment in transport infrastructure. The Mozambican Airport Company Aeroportos de Moçambique (AdM) says work is due to start on a US$10-million upgrade of the Pemba international airport in the capital of Cabo Delgado province. This follows the award in August 2012 of the tender to carry out the upgrade to Portuguese company Soares da Costa. The airport will be upgraded over the next six months.
