This month, the government of Angola plans to launch a tender exclusively for Chinese companies for the execution of contracts in seven industrial development hubs, according to an official notice published in state-owned newspaper Jornal de Angola.
Competitors, added Macauhub.com, must be Chinese companies included on a list issued by the Chinese government. In turn, they will subcontract Angolan companies to incorporate local content of no less than 20% of the contract value.
This is part of the Angolan ministry of industry’s plan to build 22 hubs around the country in stages - covering an estimated area of about 36 000 hectares.
