The North-South Corridor initiative has placed onestop borders high on the agenda. The first is at Kasumbalesa on the DRC side of the border between DRC and Zambia. At this point on the North-South Corridor, civil works to upgrade facilities on the DRC side are already on-going, and Zambia is processing public/private partnership (PPP) tenders for works. The second one-stop project is at Beitbridge, the main freight border post on the SA-Zimbabwe crossing. Here a bilateral agreement has been drafted and institutions established. Also, a modernisation programme is under implementation.
