Although the oil price has again climbed to a high level this year, the global airline industry is suffering from less pain than in past jumps in fuel costs. While the International Air Transport Association (Iata) noted that fuel prices had moved “to the top of the recent range” this is likely to be somewhat offset by improving supply-demand conditions for passenger yields.
