LOVELLE TRICKETT has joined Nvocc Freight Services as regional director in Johannesburg.
With four years experience in the Nvocc business in Johannesburg, Trickett and Cape Town-based director Lynn Quinn will run the branches in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town with responsibility for the sales/marketing and operational activities.
“The company is currently negotiating with a BEE partner which will assist freight forwarders to achieve BEE spend, a requirement of the freight forwarding and clearing charter which is expected to be finalised by the end of this year,” said Belgium-based Luc Vissers who represents the European shareholders.
Nvocc Freight Services operates a seafreight service to all destinations in Asia and Europe. The company will shortly launch a direct consolidation into the USA
Its Africa portfolio includes weekly services into the likes of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Ghana.
“Imports is an area that we have not yet developed. I hope to change that in the coming year,” says Trickett.
