Anna Cox THE NUCLEAR Energy Corporation of South Africa (NECSA) has exported R131 million worth of isotopes to 40 countries on five continents during the past year. Minister of Minerals and Energy, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, recently announced that Nuclear Technology Products (NTP), the division responsible for the radioisotope marketing and sales of the NECSA, exported 86% of its sales, or R131 million to the five continents during 2002/03. “The financial performance of NTP is particularly remarkable when viewed against the very significant strengthening of the rand during the review period,” she said.
