NATIONAL RAILWAYS of Zimbabwe says it wants to get rid of 20% of its workforce to restore viability, but has not given any details of when this will be done. Railways public relations manager Herbert Mondlani says the management board aims at eventually reducing the numbers from 18 000 to 8 000.
