ANDREAS NOWAK has been appointed forwarding executive for Safcor Panalpina, and the global Panalpina representative within the
company. He replaces Patrick Lacroix who will
relocate to Panalpina's regional head office in Hong Kong as vice
president, lane development, Asia Pacific for Europe and Africa.
Nowak will primarily be responsible for the service and sales of global accounts in South Africa.
"The challenge for the future is to give the market an integrated forwarding and clearing service that goes beyond the traditional offering," he said.
Nowak has been with Panalpina for
ten years, four in Nigeria and six in Germany, where he began his career in airfreight and sales. He was previously sales manager, Safcor Panalpina. Lacroix leaves for Hong Kong after six years in South Africa which saw the creation of Safcor Panalpina and the integration of Renfreight into the company.
