Investment in modern
management systems has helped
the UCD Aqua Marine Depot
in Port Elizabeth attract new
business, according to depot
manager Lynette Fridey.
United Container Depots
(UCD), a division of
Novagroup, purchased the depot
from Aqua Marine in December
2010.
The systems have now been
standardised with those of the
rest of the group.
“As a result, more clients are
now using UCD Aqua Marine
in Port Elizabeth,” she says.
The depot is well positioned,
with direct access to the N2
that leads into both the Port
Elizabeth and Ngqura harbours.
In addition to storage, it
provides cleaning and repair
services, as well as pre-trip
preparation of reefers.
UCD Aqua Marine has also
been appointed as a Warranty
Service Centre for Daikin,
Carrier and Starcool. That
assists the company in one of its
key focus areas by developing a
reliable reefer container service
provider in the Eastern Cape.
