A PRETORIA-based company, Xpert Driver, has launched an insurance concept aimed at heavy duty drivers which can, in case of an accident, save fleet owners 50% of their insurance excess payment up to R20 000.

The scheme is underwritten by Lloyds of London and endorsed by the Road Freight Association.

Drivers must meet certain criteria to qualify. The monthly premium is R80.
