Reefer trailers imported from the United Kingdom by Ndola-based JA AF Logistics have made it easier for importers to move frozen food out of Walvis Bay and Durban into Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).JA AF moved into perishables after successfully handling a “small” project which required two refrigerated trucks, managing director Firoz Dungarsi told Freight News.“We have now expanded the service and see further growth,” he said.JA AF balances the load by transporting copper in the reefer trailers on the down leg.“We have designed special linings to prevent damage to the interior of the reefers,” he added.
