In line with a growing industry focus on projectrelated cargo, Bridge Clearing and Forwarding, a division of the Bridge Shipping Group, has changed its name to Bridge Projects and expanded its service portfolio. “With the increased basket of services which the Bridge Clearing and Forwarding division now offers, the name change to Bridge Projects clearly reflects our intent,” Bridge Shipping Group CEO Colin Emanuel told FTW. “Bridge Projects has evolved into a turnkey projects management company, able to provide a door-to-door solution for all general cargo, by sea, air, rail or road.” It has expanded its capabilities to encompass projects-based equipment and ore cargo for the mining industry. In addition, the company provides bulk freight services for chemical-based products such as sulphur and fertiliser, together with specialised cargo. “Our long-established bases in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Harare, Dar es Salaam, Lilongwe, Blantyre, and Ndola are now complemented by a new facility in the Port of Beira in Mozambique. In line with the Group’s strategic plan to grow its footprint on the African continent, Bridge Projects will be actively involved in a number of projects in pan- African countries,” Clinton Eckersall, general manager of Bridge Projects told FTW.
