There’s been a change of name for the former Buffalo Freight Systems, as it now acts as the international arm for its parent company. Buffalo Freight Systems is now a company within the Unitrans stable and forms part of Unitrans Freight and Logistics, a division of Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions. The company, therefore, will now be trading as Unitrans Freight Forwarding and Clearing, (UFFC), identifying it with its shareholders. The Unitrans Holdings group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Steinhoff Africa. “The Unitrans group provides specialised transport, distribution, warehousing, logistics and related supply chain services to the mining, manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, fuel and chemical, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and allied sectors of the economy,” said Margrit Wolff, MD of UFFC. “And, due to the worldwide nature of our activities, we are now able to offer Unitrans clients a logistics chain that spans the globe. Clients can be assured that the management and staff have remained the same, have the same vision and will continue to offer the same service excellence.”
New name … but staff and service unchanged
