New multi-tool helps forwarders manage airfreight expenses

Freight has launched a new airfreight
multi-tool to help freight forwarders
manage their airfreight expenses better.
“We have nearly 90% of the continent
covered in terms of our ability to offer
‘delivered at place’ (DAP) solutions into
Africa and we are excited to be able
to give our customers more informed,
immediate information at the click of a
button,” said airfreight general manager
Stephen Bishop.
He told FTW that airfreight routes to
Africa had become “very price-sensitive”,
leading to all stakeholders having to
constantly reduce profit margins to win
business on price alone.
“We believe solutions and service
are just as important as price and it’s
a matter of finding the right balance.
The WebCargoNet tool can help our
customers do just that,” Bishop pointed
out. He describes the WebCargoNet
system as a “unique tool for freight
forwarders”, providing a secure gateway
to all airfreight market rates that are
centralised and accessible on a 24/7
basis.
