LYKES LINES has take delivery of the Lykes Provider, one of six new sister ships chartered by the line for its recently upgraded Pacific Sprint service offering weekly fixed day sailings on the US, China, and Mexico routes. The six 4 050 teu ships built in Korea have a reefer capacity of 400 teus. “The new, faster ships ensure schedule reliability,” says Lykes senior vice president, Tony Bruno. “The extra reefer capacity allows us to cater for the increasing demand for temperature controlled containers.”
