Hong Kong-based neutral air cargo solutions group Aero Africa this month launches its digital airfreight rate platform to cater to the needs of the African freight and logistics community. The new airfreight gateway and consolidation portal is now available exclusively to freight forwarders and transport-related companies, providing instant airfreight wholesale rates, consolidation schedules, and bookings from major global hubs to 84 airports in Africa. According to Aero Africa CCO Jade Da Costa, the move opens up new and innovative ways for African logistics providers to conduct airfreight business.“ By combining our extensive experience and expertise in airfreight, with our new technological capabilities, we are transforming traditional notions of efficiency and routes to market.”He said this was the first of several initiatives being launched this year, all aimed at bringing enhanced value to the African logistics community as a whole.“We operate neutral scheduled airfreight consolidation services from Asia and Europe to selected gateways in Africa. The new portal will enable us to digitise our offering to the air cargo logistics B2B community, and to provide full visibility and transparency to our clients’ airfreight import business,” explained Da Costa. “The new digital portal has been tailored to the needs of the African logistics market, taking into consideration every small detail of the airfreight procurement and consolidation management model at each gateway and African destination.”
