A new service linking
Asia, South Africa and
the east coast of South
America (ECSA) is
due to be launched in
April, according to a
information supplied to
FTW by German line,
Hapag Lloyd.
It will be a joint
operation involving Hapag,
Compania Chilena de
Navegacion Interoceanica
(CCNI), Hanjin Shipping,
Wanhai Lines and Zim
Integrated Shipping
Services.
The multi-line fleet will
serve as yet un-named
ports in Korea, central
and south China,
Singapore, SA, Brazil,
Uruguay and Argentina.
The new weekly service
will be operated by
11 vessels of 4 200-TEU
capacity.
