Dave Graham has moved into the newly created position of airfreight director at logistics major Röhlig- Grindrod. Graham, who brings to the position extensive airfreight experience, was previously the airfreight director of independent consolidator CFR Freight. He started his career in the industry at DHL, moving on to various positions at UTi in both Johannesburg and Chicago, ultimately heading up Midwest Gateway operation. Executive director, Ian Strydom, who heads up Röhlig-Grindrod’s seafreight business, was previously responsible for both sectors. “Airfreight is a major part of the company’s business. My role includes the development of a competitive and comprehensive product portfolio in order to grow the company’s already significant airfreight volumes,” Graham told FTW. Röhlig-Grindrod has dedicated airfreight branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, with shared operations in PE, EL, Pretoria, Pietermaritzburg, Komatipoort and overborder offices in Botswana and Mozambique.
