PRESIDENT ROBERT Mugabe has accused the business community - especially the commercial banking sector - of letting his administration down. According to the Zimbabwe Independent, Mugabe says he feels let down by indigenous businessmen for allowing Zimbabwe’s economy to nose-dive to such shocking levels. He says some businessmen are teaming up with the west in a bid to worsen the precarious economic situation, the report adds. It quotes Mugabe as saying he sometimes wonders whether his government had done “something seriously wrong” by allowing indigenous players to open commercial banks and major businesses.
