DEPENDABILITY of service is what
attracts customers to Lanka Transport,
and has allowed the Matsaphabased
firm to triumph in a highlycompetitive
field.
The energetic and affable director
of Lanka, Michael Rajendra, has earned
for his firm a reputation for reliability.
“People are attracted to the service
we provide. Once we say to a client
we will pick up an order, it is done.
They know it. They have no need to
think of it further,” said Rajendra.
"Our fleet comprises 8 ton closed
trucks, tri-axles and super links giving
us the capacity to move any type of
cargo."
Taking advantage of Swaziland’s
expanding road infrastructure, which
Rajendra describes as very good in
relation to the subcontinent, Lanka
orders – recently they have been
moving quantities of paving stones
for construction – head to and from
Durban, Johannesburg and Nelspruit.
A company agent is stationed in
Mbabane to move either to Oshoek
or Matsamo border posts if an order
requires special over border attention.
“We offer very competitive prices.
Rates are negotiable depending on
volumes. The volume of movement for
us is higher than last year,” Rajenda
said.
