THE MARITIME Industry Training Board: Forwarding and Clearing has issued a warning to all levy stamp purchasers that an error has occurred on the South African Revenue Services (SARS) Guidelines to Employers for Skills Development Levy.
The error is on page 36 of the guidelines under the heading Seta 26: Transport Education and Training Authority in that the SARS failed to reflect a separate code for the Forwarding and Clearing Chamber.
MITB: F&C executive director Charles Dey said the situation had been clarified and the forwarding and clearing code which should be entered on the SDL 101 form, is 71232.
Dey said if it was a company's intention that its payroll levy should go to the F&C chamber, the form SDL 101 should be completed as follows:
3.9.1. SETA Code 26
3.9.2 Chamber/ Activity code 71232.
