Qatar Airways Cargo launched its new freighter service to Djibouti on Saturday (1 August) – the carrier’s seventh dedicated African freighter destination.
According to a statement, the weekly A330F service will satisfy increasing airfreight demand from customers in the Middle East, South Asia and Europe into east Africa.
Ulrich Ogiermann, Qatar Airways chief officer: cargo, said: “Djibouti is an important market for Qatar Airways Cargo and for the Middle East and a beneficial consolidation point for the African market due to its geographical location on the Horn of Africa.”
