LIKE A fine wine that combines the best of ageless tradition in the context of modern technology to keep ahead of the competition, Micor has rebranded, refocused and is ready to roll out ambitious new plans.
Following Super Group’s acquisition of the company
in October last year, chief executive officer Paul Cheetham is upbeat about the numerous growth opportunities that are and will continue to materialise as Micor is integrated into Super Group’s supply chain offering.
Cheetham believes that Super Group’s skills base in the research, design, management and execution of supply chains has set it apart from its competitors.
“Given Super Group’s strategy of fully integrating itself into its clients’ supply chains, the Micor business is a synergistic fit as it has extended the group’s supply chain offering to include clearing and freight forwarding services,” he said.
“The Micor name has been associated with freight forwarding and clearing since 1969 and the business dates back to 1911. This makes Micor one of the longest established freight logistics companies in South Africa and it’s a name that carries much goodwill,” added Cheetham.
“We have ambitious plans that will involve expansion and growth. The company is currently looking at a more effective structure with a key account management philosophy focused around the customer.”
