Maseru airport caters for perishable exports

FULL REFRIGERATION facilities are part of the expansion plans at Moshoeshoe 1 International Airport in Maseru, Lesotho. They're designed to store fresh produce for export from outlying mountain districts as well as the Free State. Flying these out of the country on the largest Boeing jumbo jets will not be a problem either, as provisions are being made for the airport to accommodate these giant aircraft, according to the Lesotho Finance and Development Planning Minister, Mohlabi Tsekoa.
