ALETTA HUTTON has been appointed executive manager marketing and sales for South African Airways Cargo. She brings to the position a strong background both in marketing and sales from within the transport industry, at the same time realising her dream of moving into airfreight. She started her career with Transnet in Bloemfontein in 1989, moving to Johannesburg eight years later as national sales manager for PX containers. She was subsequently involved in the marketing and sales of Fast Forward after which she took on the role of senior manager national sales in the Courier and Freight Group. She holds an honours degree in general management from the University of the Free State.
