THE NINTH National Maritime Conference to be held in Cape Town on March 15-17 has assembled a heavyweight speaker line-up drawn from a range of industry sectors.
Minister of Transport Jeff Radebe will open the event while Minister of Public Enterprises Alec Erwin will deliver a keynote address on the view of the government on public/private participation.
Transnet CEO Maria Ramos will discuss Transnet’s strategy towards the sustainable development of supply chains while Sapo CEO Tau Morwe will offer his views on Sapo’s future role in the growth and development of port terminals.
The IMO port trading requirements. implementation and financial consequence of the ISPS Code, and BEE business developments in the maritime industries are some of the other topics on the agenda.
