GAVIN WEYER, Maputo branch manager of shipping and forwarding agents Caravel, agents for Tall Ships, was killed in a shooting incident near Nelspruit on August 12. Weyer (38) was travelling towards the Mpumalanga town when he stepped out of his car to repair a punctured tyre. At that stage four armed men attacked him. Police reports indicate that Weyer resisted them and was shot in the chest. He died on the spot. Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are to appear in court shortly.
