Danish shipping giant AP Moller-Maersk has concluded plans to expand port operations in Lagos, working on a US$120-million expansion of its existing Apapa facility to handle one million TEU annually. Plans to enlarge stacking yards, invest in new equipment and improve the customs area, will go ahead as planned. Sources told the Lagos newspaper This Day that the investment is be part of a larger commitment to boost its business in the west and central Africa.
