Maersk Line is imposing a peak season surcharge (PSS) on the Far East (excl. Taiwan) to SA, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana trade from September 7 of US$200/400 per 20'/40' dry.
And on the Taiwan to SA, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana trade from September 25 of US$200/400 per 20'/40' dry.
However, it is decreasing its standard bunker adjustment factor (SBF) on the East Coast South America to Southern Africa (Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, SA, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe) and Indian Ocean Islands trades from September 1 to US$395/790 per 20'/40' reefer.
On the return (westbound) route it is also decreasing its SBF from the same date to US$170/340 per 20'/40' dry.
