THERE’S NO standing still when it comes to depot efficiency, which is why Maersk Namibia recently took delivery of a new Kalmar DRF450-60S5 reach stacker for use at its SATI container depot in the port of Walvis Bay. “The acquisition of the 45 ton capacity stacker, capable of stacking high cube containers five high, will ensure greater efficiencies within the port and the depot operations,” says managing director of Maersk Namibia, David Williams. Saficon Industrial Equipment is the southern African distributor of Kalmar.
