On 06 January 2026, Madagascar notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) Committee on Safeguards that it had initiated, on 24 December 2025 a safeguard investigation into imports of plastic pipes and tubes and accessories thereof, classifiable in tariff subheadings 3917.10, 3917.21, 3917.22, 3917.23, 3917.29, 3917.31, 3917.32, 3917.33, 3917.39, and 3917.40, on which comment is due by 24 January 2026.
