MACS optimism grows with volumes

SHIPPING VOLUMES in Namibia have grown and along with that the operations and optimism of Maritime Carrier Shipping Namibia. According to managing director Felix Scheder-Bieschin, Macs has seen healthy growth on mainly its European operations where most additional volumes can be seen in the container traffic for export. The North America service currently calls on an ad hoc basis only. Scheder-Bieschin was complimentary about the Namibian Port Authority (Namport). “They really seem determined to make it work,” he said.
