Logistics provider brings industry specialists on board

ED RICHARDSON HELLMANN WORLDWIDE Logistics has commissioned industry specialists to help it develop tailor-made solutions for the different sectors it serves. “We continue to expand in the automotive field and rely on the worldwide support of the Hellmann automotive logistics team. We have dedicated teams of automotive project managers at our disposal to assist with the scope, implementation, innovation and continuous improvement planning,” says Port Elizabeth-based Keith Domoney, the company’s general manager of national sales, marketing and automotive logistics. Another focus is the province’s large agricultural industry. “We have invested in training staff in perishable logistics and we expect this will enhance our value-add proposition in the market,” says Domoney. The logistics company has also recently rolled out another innovation to improve client services. The Hellologic Suite which forms part of the company’s worldwide network solution. This enables clients' files to be lodged automatically and seamlessly worldwide. “And more importantly, the clients can log into our Hellmann Information Tool Platform and download custom-made reports on real time tracking information, as well as the archived documents,” adds Domoney. While HWL in the Eastern Cape will continue to focus on consolidating resources and building on its operational platform, it is also looking to market its services to perishable and fast moving consumer goods companies, in addition to the automotive industry.
