The BALtrans Group, founded in 1982, is a global freight forwarding and logistics company with an international network spanning all key markets across the world. In January 2003 it purchased the Jardine Logistics Group which had held a longstanding minority shareholding in the Clover Cargo Group since its launch in 1989. BALtrans Clover Cargo goes forward under the continued leadership of its local founding shareholders, Vincent Magnus, Geoff Partridge and Brian Wicht. The new name is part of a consistent global corporate identity. “Globalisation continues to have a major impact on South African business,” says Group CEO Vincent Magnus. “As markets open up, demand grows for a wider international network supported by local skills, knowledge, expertise and coverage. The BALtrans relationship allows us to strengthen our ability to deliver customised door-to-door solutions anywhere in the world.” The BALtrans Group is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
