Logistics company Necotrans South Africa has reverted to its original name of Advanced Maritime Transport (AMT). According to Nathalie Jeanneau, South & Eastern Africa regional manager of AMT, the rebranding follows the sale of the oil and gas division of Necotrans and its subsidiaries earlier this year to the Privinvest Group. AMT owns and coordinates offices across Africa, including South Africa, with hubs in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Singapore. Jeanneau told FTW the name change had no impact on the South African business or globally. “Ukuthutha, our BEE company, changed the logo, not the name,” she said. For both entities, email addresses changed on November 30, but all other company details remain the same. “For us it is a new beginning where we can really deliver on our new motto – A Matter of Trust – to the industries we are dealing with which include oil and gas, aeronautic, military and other industrial groups.”
