The most high-profile casualty in the latest round of Maersk Line’s staff cuts is chief commercial officer (CCO) Stephen Schueler, who joined the shipping line three years ago.
Lloyd’s List reports that he is one of 110 people who have lost their jobs at the carrier’s head office in recent weeks.
This is part of the cost reduction plans announced last month where the line said it would cut its staff by 4 000 to 19 000 before the end of 2018.
