A premier charity event for the South African freight community returns to Gauteng on May 29 when Shipwreckers will hold its first instalment for 2025 at the usual venue – Jozi Gin bar in Cedar Square.

Always a riot of themed fun and industry goodwill, the next Shipwreckers theme is “Disco”.

As a much-loved team-building event, patrons will help raise money between all the jive-talking for charities in real need of financial aid: National Sea Rescue Institute, Johannesburg Children’s Home, and Baby Moses Child Sanctuary.

The organisers of the event, Land and Sea Shipping, said in a statement: “This is a highly anticipated themed charity event for the logistics and supply chain community.

“Shipwreckers has raised over R100 000 for charity through its previous events.

“It’s a fantastic networking opportunity for local causes, and a fun night out.

“The event is known for its vibrant themes and strong industry participation, bringing together professionals from shipping, warehousing, transport, clearing and forwarding, and related sectors.”

Tickets are R260 per person and are available at www.shipwreckers.co.za/Disco

For more information, email: ahoy@shipwreckers.co.za, or contact Siva Pather (+27 79 891 7884) or Dirushen Pillay (+27 84 037 0431).

See you at the next Shipwreckers on Thursday, the 29th, at Cedar Square Shopping Centre on Cedar Road in Fourways.
