In line with its global strategy of specialisation in target growth areas, perishable logistics company LCL Logistics has opened an office in Port Elizabeth. “We officially opened our doors on March 1 to ensure that we were ready to tackle the 2014 season,” managing director Greg Rohrs told FTW. “In order to be a serious contender in the Eastern Cape one needs to have a direct presence,” he said. And while the company will focus primarily on the perishable market, it will also cater for dry cargo, both air and sea and import and export. “We will ensure a ‘one-stopshop’ operation with onsite management, operations, documentation, transport and local document deliveries,” he said.
