A new cargo operation
has now taken root at
Lanseria – a privatelyowned
international
airport just to the north
of Johannesburg, and
considered to be ideally
situated for packages
emanating from
Krugersdorp to Pretoria
and further afield.
The Bidvest subsidiary,
BidAir Cargo, is now
operating from Lanseria,
managing cargo on kulula.
com flights between
Lanseria and Cape Town
and Lanseria and Durban.
The premises are
situated on the ramp
and offer 300 sqm of
warehousing, with a bond
store and PetLounge. The
facility is fully Part 108
compliant.
According to Deseré de
Villiers, the BidAir Cargo
Lanseria station manager,
animal travel should be
reserved 48 hours prior
to departure using the
national reservations line.
“Animals are treated
apart from general cargo
for the comfort of the
animal and to minimise
possible stress.”
