'Lackadaisical' Capetonians draw strident criticism

Ray Smuts CAPE TOWN'S unenviable reputation for getting things done later rather than sooner - a charge not necessarily endorsed by all - has raised the ire of top internatonial and domestic business, the latest broadside coming from KPMG's Roland M Hudson-Bennett. A partner in the accountancy company, Bennett chose to go public recently on his grievances by penning a sharply-worded letter to the city's largest circulation daily. Posing the question: "What is wrong with Cape Town's business people?" Bennett goes on to say that assurances notwithstanding, people invariably arrive late or not at all without even so much as an apology
