Kuehne & Nagel makes eBusiness accessible to its clients

FREIGHT FORWARDER Kuehne & Nagel has strengthened its eBusiness commitment through a joint venture with US-based internet supply chain management software provider, i2 Technologies.
The 'Rhythm' solution software in which Kuehne & Nagel has invested will assure control over the most complex logistics procedures and will feature automated process monitoring, data integration (between KN, customer and i2 systems), cross divisional consignment tracking and tracing, stock control, transport management and advisory functions like network optimisation, K&N managing director Hylton Gray told FTW.
In line with its eBusiness focus, K&N has committed to gold sponsorship of Planet 2000, a high velocity eBusiness summit to be held in Vienna from May 10-12.
According to Gray, Planet 2000 is regarded as the premier resource for information, education and opportunities to help enterprises around the globe gain competitive advantage in the digital economy.
Keynote speakers include Douglas Adams, author of The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, and i2 Technologies chief executive officer Sanjiv Sidhu.
This event will try to assist in answering the question on everyone's mind: How can my extended supply chain fulfil the promises made by my website? says Gray, who has invited anyone interested in the summit to contact him.
