Kodiak expands fleet

SPECIALISTS IN the transportation of dangerous goods, Kodiak Shipping has expanded its fleet and doubled warehouse capacity to cater for increased volumes. The company focuses on the transport and escort of explosives, ammunition, firearms and certified goods worldwide. “Because of recent problems regarding aircraft flying regulations, all companies involved in dangerous goods must be registered,” says CEO Colin Bowring. “There are strict laws governing the transport of goods, both locally and internationally, and there is no deviation from safe transport requirements. “Kodiak operates globally and according to the international standards, with that specific knowledge applied to the packing and controls prior to the goods reaching the aircraft too.” Bowring believes that competent staff is integral to the security and safety chain. “There can be no unsure or weak links. “You cannot ever have these kind of goods go missing. In the shipping of dangerous goods, there are no second chances.”
