KN TSEPISA, a new contender in the freight forwarding market, has just been launched.
A black empowerment initiative, the company is 60% owned by forwarding major Kuehne & Nagel and 40% by Tsepisa which was established three years ago.
The agreement gives Tsepisa access to Kuehne & Nagel's worldwide network of over 500 offices in 80 countries.
We see it as a means of developing previously disadvantaged into the freight industry, says K&N managing director Hylton Gray.
It allows Tsepisa access to the international buying terms of Kuehne & Nagel which would not normally be available to a local operation.
