K&N spreads its largesse

A DECISION by logistics major Kuehne & Nagel to replace the desks in its Gauteng import department in the interests of improved space utilisation has provided a windfall for Caso do Sol Enterprises, the Linden-based organisation for the mentally handicapped. KN Tsepisa director George Khumalo last week handed over 15 desks to Caso do Sol to be used in their workshop opened ten years ago for pupils who have completed their schooling. "The focus of the workshop is to continue with educational activities while ensuring through the open market that the young adults are gainfully employed," workshop manager Sina Nkwe told FTW. "It's our way of ploughing something back into the community in which we operate," said Khumalo
