K&N moves closer to Pretoria clients

KUEHNE & NAGEL is fast putting into practice its philosophy of getting closer to its clients - literally.
This is what motivated the opening of a Pretoria office at the end of last year headed up by Janine Merrick.
The office covers the area from Pretoria North, to Centurion in the south, Bronkhorstspruit in the east, and Brits, Rosslyn and Ga-Rankuwa in the west.
Previously these clients were serviced by the Johannesburg office, K&N m.d. Karl-Heinz Balzer told FTW. But we believe that it makes sense to be closer to your customers who appreciate the personal contact from their service provider on a regular basis.
And for the customer there are significant cartage savings if Pretoria-bound cargo is cleared at Pretcon rather than City Deep.
This applies to cargo destined even as far south as Centurion, says Merrick, who boasts 14 years experience in the industry, having been awarded her FIATA diploma last year.
K&N started its satellite office network in Pietermaritzburg two years ago, and expects to open another liaison office in the Cape in March/April this year.
